Flickr is a photo sharing site that is searchable and it is a great way to get photos of your office, team members and completed work out to the masses. Why are photos important?
Because a picture is worth a thousand words! You may not have a thousand words for each picture, but the key concept behind Flickr is sharing photos that are searchable with keyword tags. These keyword tagged photos link to your Flickr page and your Flickr page back to your website thereby creating another source of directing search traffic your way. To get started:
Browse to www.flickr.com and click the “sign up” link at the top
Use your Google master account to create your Flickr account to keep everything linked.
Select a Screen Name, and have it be relevant to your business.
(Note: See our blog post at the end about selecting screen names)
Upload photos and provide a verbose description and tags for each photo.
Complete your profile.
