I am excited to announce that TS Tech is hosting what I think will be a very fun event, a scotch tasting at The Wine Down Bar in West Reading. Ben Franco, owner of the Wine Down Bar will be our host, guiding us through four unique Scotches from three distinct regions of Scotland.
The concept of this event really stemmed from combining several of my personal interests, I like tasting Scotch, I am passionate about helping small businesses solve problems, and I want to meet more entrepreneurial minded individuals like myself.
One night as I was wrapping up a site visit for a new client network launch, the client offered me a taste of Scotch. I didn’t know I liked Scotch until that night, so it is still a fairly new experience for me.
When we announced the event, a number of people, including some of my staff, asked me “What does Scotch have to do with IT management?” I thought about this for quite some time, and at it’s core the answer is that this event is designed just to be fun and friendly. As I pondered the event, and the connection between scotch and IT management further, I realized there is link, it’s maturity!
What I have come to like and appreciate in Scotch is sophistication, and quality found in some of the older Scotches I have tried. I have been doing IT for 19 years in March, and TS Tech, as a company, was an early adopter of managed IT services and cloud technologies. This level of dedication and longevity of our solution has helped to build our sophistication and quality in the same way a mature Scotch develops over time.
It might be a stretch to draw the line from Scotch maturity down to information technology operational maturity, but I hope you will consider joining me to taste the 21 year old Balvenie and to network with other individuals who are passionate about entrepreneurship. I have been working for some time to expand my professional network, and as I grow TS Tech, the number one thing we need in the company is to get the word out about our awesome service team. The way the event is structured is that I am asking each invited guest to bring a guest, so that we can network and meet new people. Hope to see you there!
